Farewell From Boundless

The Boundless Team

A Message From Boundless

Hello, friends of Boundless. You may have heard that Focus on the Family made the decision to discontinue Boundless, its award-winning ministry to young adults. After a fruitful and fun 27-year run, Boundless will officially sunset on February 5, 2026. This includes the site, show, social media channels and events. This page contains content that explains Focus’ decision, what it means, and how you can say goodbye and share what Boundless has meant to you through the years.

Below you’ll find a statement about the decision, an FAQ page, and some thoughts from Lisa Anderson, Boundless’ long-time director and show host. We also provide a means for you to contact us.

Thanks for being part of the Boundless family. We are forever grateful to God for the wisdom, friendships, encouragement and memories Boundless has provided since 1998. You have been an integral part of that.

I was shocked and saddened to learn that Boundless was ending. I began interacting with Lisa and the team around 6 years ago when my wife and I were going through a difficult time with our daughter. It started off relatively small — I asked Lisa to send me a signed copy of her book, “The Dating Manifesto”, that I could give to her. She quoted Ps 77:19: Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen. Over the years, our friendship grew. I would send a Christmas letter with goodies, send family pictures, I would buy lunch for the group, including a trivia challenge that was customized for the team. It was so fun thing to find out who won. Lisa brought so much wisdom and biblical truth to dating, relationships, friendships, Church, Christian living, service, career, financial integrity, community. I could go on and on, but you get the point. I probably heard 10 Gary Thomas culture segments over the years. So many wise and insightful Christian leaders were interviewed. And no one, and I mean no one, can navigate an interview as well as Lisa. She was such an active listener that many times a guest would simply pause and say “Wow! What a great question!”. In Aug 2024 I flew from Maryland to Colorado Springs to meet the team, have lunch, and climb Huron Peak with John Peardon. No, I didn’t make the summit but that was secondary. Life long friendships were forged that week. I’m afraid that the loss of Boundless is going to leave a hole at Focus that will be nearly impossible to fill. I’m worried that thousands of avid followers will be left without an important resource that will speak Biblical truth and life into young people. As I conclude, I just want to say…don’t be a stranger. You have my contact information. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
