Farewell From Boundless

A Message From Boundless

Hello, friends of Boundless. You may have heard that Focus on the Family made the decision to discontinue Boundless, its award-winning ministry to young adults. After a fruitful and fun 27-year run, Boundless will officially sunset on February 5, 2026. This includes the site, show, social media channels and events. This page contains content that explains Focus’ decision, what it means, and how you can say goodbye and share what Boundless has meant to you through the years.

Below you’ll find a statement about the decision, an FAQ page, and some thoughts from Lisa Anderson, Boundless’ long-time director and show host. We also provide a means for you to contact us.

Thanks for being part of the Boundless family. We are forever grateful to God for the wisdom, friendships, encouragement and memories Boundless has provided since 1998. You have been an integral part of that.

What an impressive run and legacy, and I’m grateful for all the connections made! Very sorry and saddened to hear Boundless ministry is closing and wrapping up its wonderful work on this day today; I wish it weren't so. A heartfelt thank you to and much appreciation for Lisa Anderson and the current and past staff for producing consistently amazing and professional faith-based relationship development content for singles and young adults for over 25 years, "with the goal of helping young adults grow up, own their faith, date with purpose and prepare for marriage and family.” I’m also thankful for the vision of Boundless founders Steve and Candice Watters, and of FOTF founder Dr. James Dobson. It has had and will have an immensely impactful legacy for so many in sharing Biblical truths in the love of and in life in our Lord and Savior Jesus. I have benefitted from and delighted in it so much (and have shared it with many others) since at least 2010 when a friend shared about the fun and practical podcast show. I’m also honored to have been among the initial Boundless Insiders; been mentioned a couple of times in the past by Kathryn on the show, lol, for submitting ideas and feedback; as well as featured as a caller with a question. Also, years ago I was given an inspiring Boundless shirt from a dedicated relative with Romans 12:2 on it; Boundless has lived up to that Biblical truth. I will miss the relaxed vibes of the culture of the ministry as also exemplified on the fun styling and article photos of the Web site (perhaps summarized as not taking oneself too seriously, but taking relationship with the Lord seriously); reading fresh and pertinent articles from authors like Joshua, Suzanne, Lindsay and many others; and the excitement of anticipating the weekly podcast drop on Thursdays and all of Lisa’s and guests’ pertinent comments and witty humor. While I'm thankful that the treasure trove of excellent podcast and article content will remain available, I will miss the updates and connection from staff! Thank you and God bless I’ll leave off with an inspiring excerpt from the About Us section of the Boundless Web site: “The young adult years are full of possibilities and choices that shape who we will become — it’s a season of adulthood that feels boundless…. We challenge you to maximize these years — to embrace new responsibilities, own your faith, date with purpose, prepare for marriage and, above all, honor God in everything you do. Let’s find your place and focus your future.”
