Farewell From Boundless

A Message From Boundless

Hello, friends of Boundless. You may have heard that Focus on the Family made the decision to discontinue Boundless, its award-winning ministry to young adults. After a fruitful and fun 27-year run, Boundless will officially sunset on February 5, 2026. This includes the site, show, social media channels and events. This page contains content that explains Focus’ decision, what it means, and how you can say goodbye and share what Boundless has meant to you through the years.

Below you’ll find a statement about the decision, an FAQ page, and some thoughts from Lisa Anderson, Boundless’ long-time director and show host. We also provide a means for you to contact us.

Thanks for being part of the Boundless family. We are forever grateful to God for the wisdom, friendships, encouragement and memories Boundless has provided since 1998. You have been an integral part of that.

I discovered the Boundless podcast in 2008 (downloading episodes to my computer and then syncing them to my iPod each week… how time has changed!). One year post-college and craving Christian community in my tiny church and town, Boundless offered me a semblance of that and more. I hoped for marriage but knew little about how to prepare for dating. What a wealth of information! I appreciated the biblical truths that were shared and gained confidence in my belief that hoping for marriage was a good thing. Candice’s insight was so helpful, as well as hearing Suzanne’s story of marrying a little later in life. Fast forward 15 years to the fall of 2023, my husband and I met on Christian Cafe… which I had first heard of through Boundless! He had read Lisa’s book, and we both valued Focus on the Family’s resources. We dated very purposefully, got engaged, and were married within a year, just before we both turned 40. I credit Boundless with giving me the courage to try online dating (off and on for 10 years!), and for helping shape my understanding of healthy Christian relationships. I’m so thankful for the resources that were shared through the years and for the many guests who were featured. Some memorable guests and topics include: Bethany Hamilton, Dr. Albert Mohler, Nick Vujicic, Alex and Brett Harris, Kevin DeYoung, the music of Keith Cooper, Leeland, the idea that if I hoped to be a stay-at-home mom, investing time and money in advanced degrees may not necessarily be the best choice for me, “pulling a Ruth”, “just buy the couch”, and “if you want to change the world, start by going home and loving your family well” (forgive me for paraphrasing). I feel passionate that people who are single are not incomplete, and that none of us are promised marriage, family, happiness, etc. No matter our marital status, God is still good, and we can always trust His ways. Thank you for being a safe place to land and from which to launch into older adulthood. I’m so grateful and wish you the best!
